Frequently Asked Questions

What are your fees?

My fee is $250 per 55 minute session. Payment is collected at the onset of the session; I will keep your credit card information safely on file within an electronic health record.

Do you take insurance?

I do not take insurance.

I am not an in-network provider for any insurance plans. If your insurance plan provides out-of-network benefits, you may be reimbursed for a percentage of your session fees and I can provide a monthly receipt or "superbill" that you can submit with your claim. If you are hoping to be reimbursed by your insurance company, before we meet, you should contact your insurance carrier to verify: (1) whether you have mental health benefits, (2) the rate of reimbursement, (3) your deductible; and (4) any limitations on number of sessions covered.

*All interactions with insurance are up to you.

How often do we need to meet?

Each person is different and this will really depend on individual needs. Generally speaking, committing to meeting once a week is a good way to start. This will help us build momentum and connect in relationship. As you progress, we can reevaluate and see what frequency will best meet your needs.

Are you taking new clients?

I am!

My practice is virtual and available for clients who live in the state of Connecticut or who live overseas (some countries may have limitations). We can chat about this.

What ages do you work with?

I generally work with folks who are 18+. If you have an inquiry in regards to a younger teen, please reach out!

What is telehealth?
In this context, it is therapy via video conferencing! This is a way for us to meet without you coming to my office in person. I use a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform to conduct these sessions which you will access through a client portal once you are an active client. You will need a computer, a private space and an open heart.

How do we start working together?

Contact me HERE! Let me know a little bit about what you are looking for in therapy and I'll connect back with you within two days. I'll send some intake paperwork for you to complete and return to me and then we can begin! If you would like to have a brief exploratory call to see if I am a good match for your needs, let's do it.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

At the onset of your care, you have the right to request a ‘good faith estimate’ outlining how much your care is projected to cost you for a set course of therapy. During the course of therapy this estimate can be revised as-needed in collaboration with you. If additional services are recommended, a new estimate will be presented to you upon request. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises/consumers, email FederalPPDRQuestions@cms.hhs.gov, or call 1-800-985-3059.
